Young and innovative entrepreneurs have converted traditional recipes and culinary products to a more contemporary flavour. A fine example is represented by the long-lasting tradition of handmade jams prepared with seasonal fruits. Another case is that of beers: only few know that at the end of the 18th century the aristocratic family of Montecuccoli established in Modena the biggest hop plantation in Italy, with some hop varieties brought directly from the Bohemian area.
